FLISHRC Scale RC Helicopters – FL500 & FL700

FLISHRC — Zhanjiang Flish Technology — designs and builds 500-class scale RC helicopters that look the part on the ground and fly the part in the air. The factory’s flagship FL500 V2 platform pairs faithful fibreglass scale fuselages (Apache, Cobra, Black Hawk, EC135, A109, MD500D, MD500E, BO105, AS350 Squirrel and more) with the FLISHRC L7 GPS flight controller, brushless motors and 6S LiPo power.
Radio-Controlled.co.uk is the UK distributor for the full FLISHRC range — RTF kits, replacement parts assemblies, the L7 flight controller and FLISHRC’s factory-spec batteries and parts. Stock is held in the UK; orders ship UK courier (LiPos travel by ground only). The catalogue covers the iconic military and rescue scale liveries — AH-64 Apache, AH-1 Cobra, UH-1 Huey, UH-1N Bell 212 Twin Huey, UH-60 BlackHawk, HH-60 JayHawk Coast Guard rescue, SH-60 SeaHawk — alongside civilian scale (A109, EC135 EMS, BO105, AS350) and the lighter 450-class Airwolf and MD500D Magnum platforms.
What makes the FL500 V2 line stand out: the L7 controller’s quad-mode satellite stack (BeiDou + GPS + Galileo + QZSS) gives faster lock and stronger signal hold than single-system flight controllers, with one-click return-to-home, low-battery RTH and failsafe RTH all built in. New pilots can fly in GPS-stabilised mode (the helicopter holds 3D position with no stick input); experienced pilots switch to 6G manual for full scale aerobatics.

Factory-fitted upgrades: FPV and scale lighting

Two jobs worth having done before the helicopter is packed rather than attempting on a finished airframe. Scale LED lighting is installed into the fuselage, the loom routed clear of the drivetrain and the whole thing function-tested. The FPV system adds a camera on a 3-axis gimbal slaved to your goggles, with flight telemetry from the L7 controller on screen. Add either to the same order as the aircraft and it arrives built, wired and tested.

Top FLISH RC Models

Featured picks from the current range.

FLISHRC FL500 V2 — 500-class scale helicopters

The core of the FLISHRC range: 990mm fibreglass airframes on the FL500 V2 mechanics, with brushless main and tail motors, an 85A ESC, three FL390HV digital swashplate servos and the L7 GPS flight controller. Supplied ready to fly and factory trimmed. Liveries run from air ambulance and police to military and film-scheme replicas.

FLISHRC FL700 — 700-class scale

The largest airframe FLISHRC build. The Tiger EC665 is a 700-class scale RTR with the presence and rotor disc of a full-size display model, and needs the space and experience to match.

FLISHRC FL450 V5 — 450-class scale helicopters

The sensible way into scale helicopter flying. Lighter and shorter-span than the 500s, so they need less field and cost less to put right after a bad landing — but they carry the same L7 GPS flight controller, so the assistance modes behave identically and the step up to a 500 later feels familiar.

Mechanical assemblies — build or rebuild an airframe

The complete running mechanics for a 500-size airframe, including the electronics: motors, ESC, servos and flight controller, without the painted fuselage. The route to a rebuild after a heavy landing, or to a custom scheme on your own shell.

FLISHRC batteries, flight controllers & light kits

Flight packs matched to the FL450 and FL500 airframes, the standalone L7 GPS flight controller for 450–800 class builds, scale exterior LED kits and the 8mm swashplate levelling tool.

Why choose FLISH RC?

FLISHRC build scale radio-controlled helicopters: fibreglass-bodied, hand-painted replicas of real aircraft, supplied ready to fly rather than as a kit. We are the only FLISHRC dealer in the UK, and we carry the range across all three airframe classes — FL450 at 450 size, FL500 V2 at 500 size and the 700-class FL700 Tiger EC665. The 500-class machines share a common set of mechanics, which is why a mechanical assembly from one model will rebuild another. Every ready-to-fly model carries the L7 GPS flight controller, with position-holding hover, one-click return-to-home and failsafe return on signal loss, alongside brushless main and tail motors, an 85A ESC and three digital swashplate servos. The liveries are the point of a scale helicopter, and FLISHRC cover an unusual spread of them: air-ambulance EC135s, the Koninklijke Luchtmacht BO105, Coast Guard A109s and Jayhawks, the UH-1N Twin Huey, the AH-1 Cobra and AH-64 Apache, and the Airwolf of television fame. Buying here rather than importing, we are the importer of record, so the price you see includes UK VAT with no import duty, clearance fee or customs paperwork to deal with on delivery, and any warranty claim is handled here under UK consumer law rather than sent overseas. Most models are built to order and usually ship within about ten working days.

FLISH RC FAQs

Helpful answers before you choose your next model or part.

Where can I buy FLISHRC helicopters in the UK?

Here. We are the only FLISHRC dealer in the United Kingdom, and we carry the range across the FL450, FL500 V2 and FL700 classes along with spares, mechanical assemblies and flight batteries. The alternative is importing direct from the manufacturer in China, which means a multi-week wait and import VAT plus a clearance fee added by the courier before the parcel is released to you.

Do I pay import duty or VAT on a FLISHRC helicopter?

Not when you buy from us. We are the importer of record, so the price shown is the price you pay — there is no import VAT, no duty and no courier clearance fee to settle on delivery, and no customs paperwork to complete. Buying direct from the manufacturer in China is quoted before UK import VAT and a clearance charge, which are added before the parcel is released.

What is the difference between FL450, FL500 and FL700?

The number is the airframe class. FL450 is the compact 450-class, easier to transport and fly in a smaller field. FL500 is the 500-class and the heart of the range, around 990mm long, with the fullest choice of liveries. FL700 is the 700-class flagship, currently the Tiger EC665, which needs the space and experience to match its size.

What does the L7 flight controller do?

The L7 is FLISHRC’s GPS flight controller. It offers a GPS self-stabilising mode that holds the helicopter in three-dimensional position with no stick input, an attitude-assisted mode for intermediate pilots and full manual 6G for experienced ones. It also provides one-click return-to-home, failsafe return on signal loss, low-battery return and Bluetooth tuning from a phone. Positioning uses BeiDou, GPS, Galileo and QZSS together for a faster, steadier lock.

Are FLISHRC helicopters suitable for beginners?

They are scale machines rather than trainers, so most suit intermediate to expert pilots. That said, the GPS self-levelling and return-to-home modes on the L7 make a confident beginner’s first scale helicopter far more forgiving than a traditional collective-pitch model. If you have never flown a helicopter before, learn on a small sport model first.

How long does a FLISHRC helicopter take to arrive?

Most FLISHRC models are built to order rather than held in stock, but that does not mean a long wait — in most cases the helicopter is with you in around eight days. The product page shows the current lead time. If you need one for a particular date, contact us before ordering and we will confirm what is achievable.

Can I get spare parts for a FLISHRC helicopter?

Yes. We stock rotor heads and blades, tail assemblies, canopies, servos, ESCs and hardware, plus complete mechanical assemblies that give you the entire running gear and electronics for a 500-size airframe — the usual route to a rebuild after a heavy landing, or to a custom paint scheme on your own shell.

What is covered if something goes wrong?

You buy from a UK company, so your purchase is covered by UK consumer law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Faults are handled by us here in the UK — we inspect the item and confirm the outcome, whether that is repair, replacement or refund. You do not deal with an overseas seller or ship anything back to China.

Which battery does my FLISHRC helicopter need?

The 500-class FL500 airframes run a 6S 22.2V LiPo, usually 4300–5200mAh; the 4500mAh 60C pack is the one supplied with most ready-to-fly models. The 450-class FL450 machines run a 4S pack. Each product page lists the pack supplied and the compatible spares, so you can match a second flight battery with confidence.
