FLISHRC MD500D Magnum 450 Size RC Helicopter – High-Performance Scale Model

FLISHRC MD500D Magnum in high-visibility Magnum P.I. inspired livery — a 450-class scale RC helicopter modelled on the McDonnell Douglas / Hughes 500D as flown by the title character of the 1980s TV series Magnum P.I.. The 450 platform is the smaller, lighter sibling to the FL500 V2 line: shorter rotor span, lower flight weight, less demanding flying space. Equipped with the same L7 GPS flight controller and quad-mode satellite stack as the 500-class kits, so the assistance modes feel identical.

Supplied factory-built and pre-flown, with the L7 flight controller binding done at the factory. Final assembly is mechanical only — fit the canopy, secure the horizontal stabiliser, charge the pack and fly.

How the 450 differs from the 500-class V2

The 450 platform is a different-generation airframe to the FL500 V2 series — older tooling, smaller rotor disc and lighter all-up weight. Spares are not interchangeable with the 500-class kits; if you need parts, search for FLISHRC 450 / FL450 specifically. The 450 takes a 4S LiPo pack rather than the 500-class’s 6S, so battery upgrades from the bigger kits will not fit.
