Yes, the Orion 465mm is an RTR (Ready-to-Run) model designed for beginners, requiring no assembly of the hull or major components. It comes fully finished with the mast, boom, sails, servos and radio system ready to use straight from the box.
You'll need 8 AA alkaline batteries in total—4 for the transmitter and 4 for the receiver—but these are not included in the box. Check the manual for recommended charge times if using rechargeable batteries instead.
The box contains the finished plastic hull with decals, fiberglass mast and boom, zinc alloy ballast, plastic keel, two servos (37g for sail and 9g for rudder), a 2.4GHz 2-channel radio system, battery box, ON/OFF switch, and a boat stand.
The Orion measures 465mm in length, 150mm in width, and 920mm in overall height (including the mast), making it a compact model suitable for ponds, lakes and calm water. At 950g, it's light and portable.
It uses a 2.4GHz 2-channel digital proportional radio control system, which means you can independently control the main sail trim and the rudder for steering and sail adjustment.
