The Focus III is designed for experienced RC sailors rather than beginners. Its realistic sailing performance and multi-channel control system require understanding of sail trim and wind dynamics, so prior RC sailing experience is recommended.
You'll need 8 AA alkaline batteries total: 4 for the transmitter and 4 for the receiver. These are not included with the boat, so you'll need to purchase them separately.
The box includes the painted plastic hull, carbon fibre mast and boom, rip-stop sails, 2.4GHz radio system with metal gear servos, ballast, battery box, and display stand. You'll only need to add 8 AA batteries to get it ready to sail.
At 995mm long (just under one metre) with a mast height of 1578mm, this is a mid-sized RC sailboat suitable for lakes, reservoirs, and large ponds. Check your local water venue's regulations before sailing.
