We are a long established club with over 40 years experience of running and organising race meetings, from relaxed Sunday morning club meetings run up to National level competitions. Radio controlled car racing is a great hobby for any age. We have members from under 10 to over 60 and a number of dads and sons racing together as size or age have very little influence on your ability to compete. At TORCH we are very fortunate to have a wide spread of experience and ability and this means not only will you generally find someone on a similar pace to race against but there is a wealth of knowledge and experience to help beginners with set up or technical problems. The cars we race are 1/10th scale electric powered cars designed to operate off-road. Primarily we cater for both 2WD and 4WD buggies. Other Electric 1/10th scale off-road cars are welcome at the club and if we have enough entries then they will have their own heat otherwise they will be placed in the most appropriate 2WD/4WD heat. Touring/circuit cars will not work on our track due to the jumps and off-road nature of it. We do not race or allow petrol/nitro powered cars on the track due to noise considerations with our neighbours.
