Previously known as Glasgow Model Car Club, we have been established for over 30 years providing a fun, safe and sociable way to enjoy the hobby racing 1/10th electric buggies. We are constantly improving our own all-weather AstroTurf outdoor track facility to provide a superb venue for everyone who wants to take part in RC racing, focused on fun, racing, learning and making friends. We always aim to be friendly and welcoming to all! If you are new to the hobby and are interested in finding out more, pop down and say hello, as most people are keen to show their pride and joy, and will explain some things about the cars. The club also have some demo cars for anyone thinking of taking up the hobby, but these must be booked on our website. These can be booked for 5 or 10 minutes for a quick try, or you can book one for the whole race day! Our track is 50m x 28m with an astroturf surface that includes tabletops, bombhole and also moveable jumps. We have a number of tables. chairs and gazebo shelters available and will try and accommodate any visitors. We also have 240v mains power for charging. Our site is designed to cater for all types of RC enthusiasts, from beginners to experienced racers, with multiple tracks and great facilities for every style of driving. We currently have three main tracks in operation. Our astro track is perfect for 1/8 and 1/5 scale vehicles and provides consistent grip throughout the colder months. The dirt track comes to life during the warmer seasons, offering a true off-road experience for racers who enjoy loose surfaces and changing conditions. Our crawler track features varied obstacles and sections, ideal for rock crawlers and scale drivers looking for a technical challenge. We also have a dedicated bash track in development to give all drivers even more space to enjoy their RC cars. To make your visit as comfortable as possible, we’ve equipped the site with electricity for charging, toilets, water access, snacks and refreshments, an air compressor, and plenty of parking. We’re also in the process of opening our own on-site model shop, which will stock essential parts such as tyres, fuel, and glow plugs, with online ordering coming soon. You don’t have to be a member to enjoy the track — everyone is welcome. Event entry is typically £14, or £10 for subscribers, with practice sessions and crawler use available at reduced rates. We’re located at Low Hardwick Farm, Sedgefield, TS21 2EH, about 20 minutes from Durham and 40 minutes from Newcastle. Whether you’re here for a race, a casual practice session, or just a day out with friends, we aim to provide a friendly and inclusive environment for all RC drivers.

Hathern Raceway

With over 30 years of experience, the Hathern Radio Controlled Stock Car Club meets every Monday evening at the Coalville Labour Club, welcoming racers of all ages to enjoy competitive yet friendly Stock Car and Banger racing. The club features two RC race tracks—an Oval and the popular “Coffin”—with races run on 1/12th scale electric-powered F1 and F2 Stock Car models. These cars are affordable to maintain and race under BRCA rules, ensuring close, full-contact racing that rewards skill and car setup. Drivers are graded similarly to full-size Stock Cars, with regular grading updates, and races include heats and finals lasting five minutes each. The club also hosts special events, including memorial races and a round of the National Championship, attracting drivers nationwide. For newcomers, a club F2 Stock Car is available to hire, making it easy to try racing before committing. Hednesford Raceway

We now have two venues: 'Hednesford Indoor Raceway' & 'Stafford Outdoor Raceway'. We Race every Thursday evening from September through to early May. As this is a School, we are closed on occasional evenings due to school exams. We hold about 3 club leagues during the indoor season where members can score points. In addition, we host several national events including a round on the BRCA 1/12 series and rounds of the Mardave GP series and the new Mini Masters Series. Some refreshments are available at our club events such as tea & coffee, also pop and crisps and chocolate. There are several local takeaways nearby such as McDonalds, KFC, and subway. At larger events there is usually a food van on site. Racing Details On Thursdays the hall opens at 17:00 (If you are helping set up) if not the hall opens at 17:30. Racing starts at 18:15 till around 21:30. We always ask for your help in packing everything away as the hall must be vacated by 22:00 Indoors we race 1/10 Touring Cars, and the popular Mini class (Mardave, Kamtec, BattCave), we are also running the BL-ROD class that is a brushless motor using the 1/12 Mardave Hot Rod car. In the buildup to a 1/12 race series, we also run the GT12 and LMP class of cars Personal transponders are encouraged; however, we do have some loan ones available. Our large indoor venue measures 18 x 33mtrs. This allows us to run on Lindau carpet with an area of 14 x 28mtrs (almost 400m²) The track layout changes usually for the start of a new league. There is plenty of Mains power available, and pitting tables and chairs are also supplied. We welcome young and old alike, of all skill levels from beginner to expert. We have a large rostrum that can cater for 10 drivers. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the hall flooring we are unable to offer a stair lift to allow access for the less able.
Herts Nitro Model Club (HNMC)

These include a large dirt track which is suitable for 1/8th sized off-road nitro or electric vehicles. We also have an astro track dedicated to 1/10th electric off-road. Our third track is our practice area for bashing and beginners alike - it is for general use and we allow 1/8th and 1/10th vehicles. Found alongside our racing tracks is our extensive Crawler course. The club has a large covered pit area with AC power for charging batteries. Other facilities include toilets, covered rostrums, camping areas, large car park, catering at race events, air compressor and Herts RC Models located adjacent to our site. We are open for practice sessions every day 10am till 5pm. (Practice sessions are not available when race events or event preparations are running - see hnmc website calendar for more details). Membership is available which offers discounts and other benefits. We are an incredibly welcoming club and are always happy to assist anyone. Visitors are most welcome to watch and participate. The club has a long history. HNMC was formed in 2007 at its current location. Previously the club was based elsewhere and called Sandy Nitro Model Club. The club hosts a full calendar of events throughout the year; club events, member events, regionals, nationals and special one off events. We are the only UK club to have hosted BRCA 8th and 10th Nationals at the same venue. In 2024 we have hosted 3 BRCA Nationals - 8th Ebuggy, 8th Nitro and 10th Electric. The club hosts races on a 14x6 metre indoor oval carpet track at St Wilfrid’s School, specialising in 1/12th scale RC race tracks. Racing takes place on Saturday evenings once every fortnight and on Sundays once a month. Members compete in a variety of classes, including Brushed Hotrods, Classic Hot Rods, 1300 Stockcars, 2 Litre Saloonstox, and Superstox. The 1/12th oval cars primarily feature Mardave and Kamtec models, powered by either brushed or brushless electronic systems depending on the class. HOT Racers welcomes drivers of all ages and skill levels, fostering a family-friendly environment where experienced racers are happy to offer advice, setup help, and repairs. Huncote Vipers Model Car Club (HVMCC)

Racing is done using 1/10 or 1/12 scale electric cars (Touring Cars, Mini's, GT12's & LMP's) on a carpet based track. The circuit is changed once a month to allow drivers time to test different car set-ups. Timing is done using Vostok electronics lap timing system, personal transponders, rc-timing software & rc-results website for online results. Meetings run from 6.30pm till 10.00pm. Facilities suitable for wheelchair access & toilets.

The track features RC timing software with a loop installed under the carpet, compatible with AMB and 2-wire MRT transponders, ensuring accurate race timing. The club features a sizeable 18m by 12m track covered with Lindaur racing carpet, providing an excellent surface for a variety of classes including Tamiya Stock, MTC, Touring Car, and Frontie. Ample pitting space is available, with chairs provided, though members are asked to bring their own pit tables. Power access is also available for recharging your vehicles. The venue is ground level with disabled access and parking, ensuring convenience for all visitors.
