Derby Radio Control Model Car Club

Postcode DE72 2BU We race indoors electric classes only. The club has been running for about 40 years at various venues around the Derby area. The classes commonly run are 1/10 Touring cars, Gt 12's, and LMP 1/12 scale. Motors vary from 17.5, 13.5, and even mod for the more experienced drivers, with the track being quite tight and twisty generally the slower motors are usually quicker. We race on ETS carpet which provides excellent grip for all classes raced.

We race on alternate Friday nights, booking in 6pm - 6:20pm, and racing finishes by 10pm. The club prides itself on low cost family fun, where drivers of all abilities are welcome. New / younger drivers have gained experience here & also race at bigger venues. At 10electric club, we have a mixture of primarily polished floor. Occasionally our volunteer track builders will insert jumps for the buggies. The track / polished floor, requires a lot concentration and drivers are requested to be courteous towards their opponents and marshals. There are no motor restrictions but I strongly recommend a 13.5 turn brushless, as anything more powerful may be a waste. Together with AMB Transponders & computer lap timing various race statistics are available. Currently (subject to change) we are running 4 five minute rounds and a five minute final, time permitting, The combined knowledge of club member’s offers help and support on various car related topics / problem solving. Volunteers are requested to arrive early about 6pm and help with track setup. N.B. track building is a priority & we cannot race until completed, so remember don’t get in the way of those helping build the track. Anyone helping with the track setup can have an early practice. Providing all goes well we can begin racing at 6:15 or earlier.

We are constantly improving our own all-weather AstroTurf outdoor track facility to provide a superb venue for everyone who wants to take part in RC racing, focused on fun, racing, learning and making friends. We always aim to be friendly and welcoming to all! If you are new to the hobby and are interested in finding out more, pop down and say hello, as most people are keen to show their pride and joy, and will explain some things about the cars. The club also have some demo cars for anyone thinking of taking up the hobby, but these must be booked on our website. These can be booked for 5 or 10 minutes for a quick try, or you can book one for the whole race day! Our track is 50m x 28m with an astroturf surface that includes tabletops, bombhole and also moveable jumps. We have a number of tables. chairs and gazebo shelters available and will try and accommodate any visitors. We also have 240v mains power for charging. We had been based at Sharley Park Leisure Centre in Clay Cross for almost 30 years but moved to the David Nieper academy at Alfreton in 2022. We race on Saturdays. We alternate between on road and off road meetings. On road meetings are for 12th scale LMP, GT12s, Touring cars, Fronties, Hot Hatch and Minis. The venue is located near Blyth, North Nottinghamshire in the parish of Torworth. There is a modern portal frame arena, race control and toilet blocks, a cafe, a large flat, grassed area for parking, indoor pitting with power and camping/caravan facilities including mains water and electricity for charging. Open for practice sessions strictly only by arrangement.

Worcester model car club
Address: Nunnery wood high school, West MidlandsWorcester Model car club welcomes drivers of all abilities and ages. We race every Friday at Nunnerywood high school from 18:30 till 11:00. Are main classes are 10th touring car, Frontie and Ministox but are always happy to put other heats on. We run on Lindau which is not old and our track marking is very kind to cars. We usually have plenty of tables and chairs and there is ample power around the pits but an extension lead is sometimes required.
