Hednesford Raceway

We now have two venues: 'Hednesford Indoor Raceway' & 'Stafford Outdoor Raceway'. Full information for our indoor venue can be found on this link: - https://www.brca.org/rc-club/stafford-rc-model-car-club Hednesford Indoor Raceway is in the main sports hall at Staffordshire University Academy in Hednesford. We Race every Thursday evening from September through to early May. As this is a School, we are closed on occasional evenings due to school exams. We hold about 3 club leagues during the indoor season where members can score points. In addition, we host several national events including a round on the BRCA 1/12 series and rounds of the Mardave GP series and the new Mini Masters Series. Some refreshments are available at our club events such as tea & coffee, also pop and crisps and chocolate. There are several local takeaways nearby such as McDonalds, KFC, and subway. At larger events there is usually a food van on site. Racing Details On Thursdays the hall opens at 17:00 (If you are helping set up) if not the hall opens at 17:30. Racing starts at 18:15 till around 21:30. We always ask for your help in packing everything away as the hall must be vacated by 22:00 Indoors we race 1/10 Touring Cars, and the popular Mini class (Mardave, Kamtec, BattCave), we are also running the BL-ROD class that is a brushless motor using the 1/12 Mardave Hot Rod car. In the buildup to a 1/12 race series, we also run the GT12 and LMP class of cars Personal transponders are encouraged; however, we do have some loan ones available. Our large indoor venue measures 18 x 33mtrs. This allows us to run on Lindau carpet with an area of 14 x 28mtrs (almost 400m²) The track layout changes usually for the start of a new league. There is plenty of Mains power available, and pitting tables and chairs are also supplied. We welcome young and old alike, of all skill levels from beginner to expert. We have a large rostrum that can cater for 10 drivers. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the hall flooring we are unable to offer a stair lift to allow access for the less able.
Carlisle Radio Model Car Club ( CRMCC )
Address: CA4 8RE, North West, CA4 8RECRMCC - Down a gate raceway situated in Warwick Bridge just 4 miles from the M6 (Jct 43) and just east of the Lake District easy access from the East via the A69. The track was constructed in 2001 from tarmac with concrete curbs and a grass infield. The track is situated in an idyllic country location with ample parking. There is a community centre on site where toilets and showers will be available following the rebuild after Storm Desmond. There are many great pubs and b&b's nearby. Carlisle Radio Model Car Club, hold regular club meetings along with larger events including hosting a round of the Iconic Cup which attracts racers from all over the country. The track is only available on the advertised dates which can be found on our facebook page. We will always do our best to accommodate people and their cars - please just contact us in advance to discuss things for the best possible outcomes. We have a club M-05 car that is available to use for a round if you wish to have a go before purchasing - please contact the club to organise it in advance, it is booked on a first come first served basis.

East Shrewsbury Buggy Racing Club

The long established club is run by a group of experienced Off Road Racers, who are happy to help anyone from beginner onwards to get into Off-road RC and most of all have fun. The current track is designed for 1/8th Scale Off Road vehicles although at Practice events any vehicle are permitted, we are pleased to have been nominated for regional and national 1/8th Scale events for 2025. The track is mostly dirt, with some multi surface areas. The track includes features such as Jumps, Off Camber Corners and a long straight to get the most out of your Off-Road Buggy. The club holds race events monthly during Spring/Summer, and practice 1 evening a week during this time weather permitting. Huncote Vipers Model Car Club (HVMCC)

New club members of all ages are welcome. The main aim of the club is to promote the sport of radio control model car racing, providing a safe environment for youngsters to use their cars and a place for them to learn how to tune and maintain them. Racing is done using 1/10 or 1/12 scale electric cars (Touring Cars, Mini's, GT12's & LMP's) on a carpet based track. The circuit is changed once a month to allow drivers time to test different car set-ups. Timing is done using Vostok electronics lap timing system, personal transponders, rc-timing software & rc-results website for online results. Meetings run from 6.30pm till 10.00pm. Facilities suitable for wheelchair access & toilets.

The track features an all dirt base with technical jump section's and tricky off camber racing sequences. The facility has large on site parking, car cleaning stations, nitro warm up area and disabled access on and off the drivers stand. The Astro Radio control Northern Ireland's 1/10th offroad facility "The Astro" is a six thousand square foot all Astro Turf racing track. Situated in the outskirts of Loughbrickland in county Down, Northern Ireland. The track features modular jump sections to allow for easy layout availability and elevation changes on the track surface to challenge even the very best drivers. The facility has large on site parking, car cleaning stations, and disabled access on and off the drivers stand.

We follow the BRCA rules and support the #RaceWithRespect ethos. We race from early spring to early autumn, with track maintenance and improvements taking place over the winter months. We host the Bingham Off-road Summer Series BOSS championship, 2 rounds of the BRCA Mid-East Off-Road regional championship, the Iconic RC Revival race meeting and regular club meetings through the year.

The club races 1/10th scale electric off road buggies and trucks outdoors on our grass track May to September. Indoors during winter we cater for 1/10th 4wd buggies and 1/10th 4wd Rally Cars on our polished floor. Generally we run 3 rounds of heats plus finals. New track layout every week! Club meetings are held on Mondays (Off road track) and on Fridays (On road track) , with various Weekend meetings throughout the year, see below for more information. Doors open from 6.30pm onwards, racers are asked to turn up as early as possible to help lay the track to allow racing to commence by 7:30pm. We aim to race at least three rounds per class, followed by a final round if time permits. We try to accommodate all variations of electric class where possible. Lap times and race results are recorded to within one hundredth of a second using a state of the art AMB timing system with the results being shared online which you can view on our Results pages. Racing fans young and old are invited to come and spectate and chat with our friendly members, who are always happy to offer advice. If you are contemplating buying a car and taking up the hobby, pop along or please read on to find out more. Mondays are our off-road class racing night. Racing on a mixture of low and high grip surfaces with jumps included! Monday’s are never dull. Pop down and see if you can become the next ‘ Monday Night Worlds Champion ‘. We are always happy to accommodate any off road electric class wherever possible on the night however our current popular classes are: – 1/10th 4WD Buggy – 1/10th 2WD Buggy – 1/18th Micro Buggy Fridays are our on-road class racing night. On our high grip surface racing is close and fast. Why not enter the league and see if you can get a place on the podium in the ‘ Friday Night GP ‘. We are always happy to accommodate any electric class wherever possible on the night however our current popular classes are: – 1/10th Touring Car – 1/12th GT12 – 1/10th Tamiya Stock Class We hold various weekend events over the year. One of our most popular is the DRCC Winter Series , this takes place in our large indoor sports hall on set Sundays throughout the winter months.
