DF95V3 New Version Changes Details
The DF International Class Association (DFICA) and the licenced builder, Joysway Hobby International Ltd, are pleased to announce the release of new versions of both DF65 and DF95 classes.
The changes to apply from 1st February 2025, are the result of feedback from DFICA members and in consultation with the Joysway engineering team to continue to improve the quality and reliability of the boats.
The fundamental aim of the Class and its Rules is to ensure that all boats are raced on a level performance basis. The Restricted Class Rules means that no changes are allowed to the boats unless specifically allowed and documented in the Rules, or an interpretation has been issued by the DFICA Rules Committee to cover any manufacturing changes.
The changes will not affect performance of the boats but do improve the build quality for greater enjoyment by owners.
DF95V3 changes details and photos refer to below:
NOTE:All new parts will be available to retro fit on previous versions.
1) Digital Winch – A new digital winch will replace the current grey DF Sail winch. Testing has shown a more consistent performance and end point accuracy.
The new winch fits the existing DF winch drums and the winch speed is the same as the outgoing model.

This is designed for experienced RC enthusiasts and competitive sailors rather than beginners. The Dragon Flite 95 V3 is a competition-grade racing class boat, so prior RC sailing knowledge is recommended to get the best from its performance features.
You'll need 8 AA alkaline batteries in total: 4 for the FlySky i6 transmitter and 4 for the FS-iA6B receiver. Batteries are not included with the boat.
The RTR version includes a fully painted plastic hull, 50-micron mylar racing sails, carbon-fibre keel with zinc ballast, digital rudder servo, new digital DF Racing sail-winch servo, FlySky i6 transmitter, FS-iA6B receiver, and a display stand with laydown function. Batteries are not included.
The Dragon Flite 95 is 950mm long, 125mm wide, with an overall height of 1470mm including the rig. It's a standard International Class racing sailboat designed for competitive sailing on ponds, lakes, and calm waters.
The V3 includes a new 2025 digital DF Racing sail-winch servo for more accurate sail control. The exact list of engineering improvements made by Joysway in consultation with the DF International Class Association can be found in the DF95V3 version changes documentation.
