MJX Hyper Go Range Explained — 1:20, 1:16, 1:14 & 1:8

Four MJX Hyper Go models: 16207 buggy, 14303 rally car, 14209 truck and H8H crawler

MJX Hyper Go is a family of small, fast, ready-to-run RC cars that share the same idea: brushless power, metal drivetrain parts and a low price. The model numbers tell you the size. In the models we stock, 20xxx is 1:20 scale, 16xxx is 1:16, 14xxx is 1:14, and the H8H is a 1:8 crawler.

If you just want a recommendation: the 16207 buggy is the best first Hyper Go, the 14303 rally car is the best all-rounder, and the 14209 truck is the fastest. The eight models below are ordered by price. Read RC car scales explained if the sizes are new to you; our LiPo vs NiMH guide covers the 2S and 3S batteries these cars use.

1. MJX Hyper Go H16E: the entry point

£64.99

View product

The H16E is the brushed one, and the cheapest route into the range. It still gets the all-metal transmission and full-time 4WD, and it is listed at 38 km/h. The party trick is the Hyper Wheels phone app, which logs top speed and route by GPS.

Best for: younger drivers and anyone who wants to try the range for the least money. Watch out for: run time. The listing quotes about seven minutes, so a second battery is worth having.

2. MJX Hyper Go 20208: the small one

MJX Hyper Go 20208

MJX 20208 Brushless 1:20th Scale Monster Truck (2s Lipo Version) 39kph

£69.99

View product

The 20208 is a 1:20 monster truck with an 1806 brushless motor and a 35A speed controller, listed at 39 km/h. It arrives built, with a 2S 850mAh LiPo and a USB charger. It is the smallest Hyper Go we stock and the cheapest with a brushless motor.

Best for: small gardens, patios and indoor use where a 1:14 car would be too much. Watch out for: rough ground. At 1:20 the wheels are small, so keep it to short grass and hard surfaces.

3. MJX Hyper Go M162: the budget brushless

4. MJX Hyper Go 16207: the 1:16 favourite

MJX Hyper Go 16207

The 16207 buggy is one of our best-selling cars of any brand. It is listed at 45 km/h as standard and it accepts a 3S pack for more, using the MJX 3S battery kit that fits the 16207 to 16210. Low and stable, it is the 1:16 model to pick for speed.

Best for: most people buying their first Hyper Go. Watch out for: 3S power on a small car. It is a big jump in speed, so try 2S first.

5. MJX Hyper Go 14304 Lancia Delta: the drift car

MJX Hyper Go 14304 Lancia Delta

MJX Hyper Go 14304 67kph Brushless 1:14 Scale Drift Car Lancia Delta

£115.99

View product

The 14304 is the on-road Hyper Go. It has a licensed Lancia Delta body, a waterproof speed controller and adjustable suspension, and it comes with three sets of wheels for drift, road and rally use. It is listed at 67 km/h.

Best for: car parks, tarmac and smooth gravel, and fans of 1980s rally cars. Watch out for: grass. With its ride height this is a hard-surface car.

6. MJX Hyper Go 14303: the rally car

MJX Hyper Go 14303

MJX Hyper GO 14303 Brushless 1/14 RC Car – High Performance, 4WD Remote Control

£119.99

Our most popular 1:14 Hyper Go. The 14303 is a brushless 4WD rally car with a Lancia Delta-style body, and it sits between the buggies and the drift car: quick on tarmac, capable on gravel and short grass.

Best for: mixed surfaces and all-round use. It is our budget pick in the best RC cars of 2026. Watch out for: long grass, which will stop any car this low.

7. MJX Hyper Go 14209 V3: the fast truck

MJX Hyper Go 14209 V3

MJX Hyper Go 14209 75kph Brushless 1:14 Scale Truck V3 (2s & 3s Lipo Version)

1:14 scale, brushless, V3 with alloy steering assembly and hex screws, 2S and 3S, listed at 75 km/h

£129.99

View product

The 14209 truck is the quickest small Hyper Go we stock, listed at 75 km/h. This is the V3, which adds an alloy steering assembly and hex screws throughout. It runs on 2S or 3S, and the taller truck stance gives it more ground clearance than the 1:14 cars.

Best for: drivers who want the most speed from the 1:14 platform. See our fast RC cars guide for what is quicker. Watch out for: space. 75 km/h needs a large, clear area.

8. MJX Hyper Go H8H: the big crawler

MJX Hyper Go H8H

MJX H8H Hyper Go RC Crawler Brushless 1:8th Scale Crawler Truck (Blue Orange)

1:8 scale, brushless, high and low gear, lockable differentials, IP67 protection, 140 LEDs

£379.99

The H8H is a different machine altogether: a 1:8 metal-built crawler with a switchable high and low transmission, lockable differentials, IP67 protection and 140 LED lights, with smartphone control as well. It is listed at 17 mph in high gear.

Best for: crawling and trail driving at a scale that makes real obstacles possible. Watch out for: the size and price. It is the one Hyper Go that is not a pocket-money speed machine.

Listed top speeds across the range
From our product listings, on the battery each model is supplied with or rated for.
H8H crawler, 1:827 km/h (17 mph)
H16E truck, 1:1638 km/h (24 mph)
20208 truck, 1:2039 km/h (24 mph)
M162 truck, 1:1639 km/h (24 mph)
16207 buggy, 1:1645 km/h (28 mph)
14304 drift car, 1:1467 km/h (42 mph)
14209 truck, 1:1475 km/h (47 mph)
The H8H is listed at 17 mph in high gear. The 14303 rally car is not shown because we do not list a top speed for it. The 16207 is faster on a 3S battery.

Brushed, brushless, 2S and 3S

Brushed or brushless. Only the H16E here is brushed. Brushless motors are faster, more efficient and need less maintenance, and they are the reason this range has the reputation it does.

2S and 3S. A 2S battery is 7.4 volts and a 3S is 11.1 volts. Models marked for both go noticeably faster on 3S. The MJX 3S battery kit fits the 16207 to 16210 and the 14301 to 14304, 14209, 14210 and 14211.

Spares. These cars get driven hard, and parts wear. Suspension arms, driveshafts and bodyshells are all sold separately, so a crash is a repair, not a write-off.

Charging. Most models come with a simple USB charger. It works, but it is slow, and a proper balance charger is a worthwhile upgrade. See how to charge LiPo batteries safely.

Frequently asked questions

Which MJX Hyper Go is best?
For most people the 16207 buggy, which is quick, stable and good value. Choose the 14303 if you want a larger rally car, or the 14209 truck for the highest top speed.
What is the fastest MJX Hyper Go?
Of the models we stock, the 14209 V3 truck, listed at 75 km/h. The 14304 drift car is listed at 67 km/h.
Are MJX Hyper Go cars good for beginners?
Yes. They are ready to run, tough and cheap to repair. Start on a 2S battery, and for younger children look at the brushed H16E or our best RC car for kids guide.
Can I run an MJX Hyper Go on a 3S battery?
Many models are rated for 2S and 3S, and we say so in the notes above where the listing does. Check your model before fitting a 3S pack, because the extra voltage will damage electronics that are not built for it.
