Key Specs
About this product
More performance and style with improvements to each key component, this machine is more than just a reproduction!
As the 5th model to make its return as part of the vintage series, the ever-popular Scorpion released in 1982 was relaunched 2 years ago and has undergone a detailed overhaul to match modern performance with retro styling. The new Turbo Scorpion remains true to the essence of the unique Scorpion design throughout, but features Scorpion-style wheels in the larger 2.2 inch modern standard wheels for improved off-road performance. In addition, 12mm oil shocks based on the Optima deliver rock-solid running stability and excellent damping characteristics that work in combination with high-grip front and rear tires with a 20mm wider front tread and 10mm longer wheelbase than the original Scorpion to realize improved control and handling performance. With a thorough modernization, the new Turbo Scorpion is ready and willing to accept modern-day power sources and compete on modern race circuits. The standard Turbo Scorpion is a fully optioned chassis configuration and is ready to take the punishment that goes with hard driving.

Frequently Asked Questions
This kit is designed for experienced modellers. Whilst the gearbox comes pre-assembled to speed up building, you'll still need solid RC modelling skills to complete the chassis, suspension, and electronics assembly. If you're new to RC cars, consider starting with a ready-to-run model.
The kit requires a 540-type electric motor sold separately. You'll also need a compatible battery pack and charger, which are not included. Check the product specifications or contact us for recommended motor and power source options for this 1/10 scale buggy.
The kit includes a pre-assembled gearbox, polycarbonate clear body shell, die-cut decals, and all necessary chassis parts. However, you must source the motor, battery, speed controller, and receiver separately. Review the full parts list in the manual before ordering to ensure you have everything needed.
At 1/10 scale, the Turbo Scorpion is 408mm long and 256mm wide—a standard size for RC buggies suitable for most gardens and small outdoor spaces. It's designed for off-road use with modern suspension and grip tyres, making it ideal for dirt, grass, and track racing.
The Turbo Scorpion features modern 2.2 inch wheels, 12mm oil shocks with improved damping, a 10mm longer wheelbase, and wider tyres (20mm extra on the front) for better handling and control. The chassis is also reinforced, particularly at the rear suspension, to handle hard driving on contemporary racing circuits.
