Kyosho Optima Mid 4WD 1:10 Kit *Legendary Series*

The Kyosho Optima Mid 4WD 1:10 Kit *Legendary Series* (item K.30622) is the Kyosho Legendary Series re-release of the Optima Mid 1985 (Turbo Optima 1986) 1/10 4WD competition buggy — one of the most iconic chassis in the history of RC racing. Bringing the original Optima Mid chassis back in a faithful, modern-built kit, this is the same shaft-driven 4WD geometry that defined a generation of off-road racing.

Aimed at collectors and vintage RC enthusiasts, this kit is supplied unbuilt — you assemble the chassis from the ground up, fit your own electronics (ESC, brushed motor, servo, receiver, transmitter and battery), and finish the body shell to your chosen livery. The mid-motor variant moves the motor mass forward of the rear axle for a different cornering balance to the rear-motored Optima/Optima Pro.

Why Collectors and vintage RC enthusiasts choose the Optima Mid kit

• Faithful re-release — modern build of the iconic Optima Mid chassis with original styling cues
• Shaft-driven 4WD — the layout that defined Kyosho 4WD off-road racing in the 1980s
• Oil-filled shocks front and rear with full ball-bearing drivetrain
• Mid-motor balance — forward weight bias for sharper turn-in on smoother surfaces
• Hard plastic bodyshell — vacuum-formed, ready to mask and paint to your chosen livery
• Period-correct option-parts catalogue — Optima hop-ups stocked at Radio Controlled UK
