No, this is not recommended for beginners. HPI explicitly states it is for experienced drivers only due to its extreme power and performance capabilities. The 2200KV brushless motor and 6S-capable ESC deliver blistering speeds and powerful stunts that require confident handling skills.
The truck requires two 2S or 3S LiPo batteries for the car, plus four AA batteries for the transmitter. None of these are included in the box, so you'll need to purchase them separately along with a LiPo charger.
The box contains the fully assembled Savage X Flux V2 GT-6 with the brushless motor, ESC, pre-cut and decaled GT-6 bodyshell, wheels and tyres, suspension, and all chassis components. You will need to source batteries, a charger, and AA batteries for the transmitter separately.
This is a 1/8-scale monster truck. The 3.8-inch Havok wheels and Terrahex tyres give it substantial size and ground clearance for bashing terrain.
