About this product

Pre-order: the Stage-D10 range is a brand new HPI release. Stock is expected from 21 September 2026 and orders are despatched in the order they are received.

Stage-D10 — the next generation of HPI Racing drift

The Stage-D10 is HPI Racing’s all-new, purpose-built 1/10th scale rear-wheel-drive drift platform, combining a great Ready-To-Run setup with the huge range of tuning possibilities demanded by today’s RC drifters. This version comes finished in the Formula Drift livery of James Deane.

Officially licensed 2024 Ford Mustang RTR Spec-5 FD

HPI has a long history of producing detailed replicas of incredible full-size drift cars, and the Stage-D10 continues that tradition with the Ford Mustang RTR Spec-5 FD. Straight from the RTR Vehicles garage and the Formula Drift paddock, each version gets its own authentic livery on a fully factory-finished, assembled 5-piece polycarbonate body, plus additional moulded parts for the mirrors, vents, grilles and light buckets. Best of all — no body posts stick through the Mustang shell.

Aero-5 replica wheels

Fitted with RTR Aero-5 replica wheels colour-matched to the livery: 3mm offset fronts, 6mm offset rears for that aggressive drift stance, wrapped in HPI’s new harder HDPE T-Drift compound tyres developed specifically for the Stage-D10. Removable rear aerodiscs complete the scale look.

Full LED light system

Headlights, upper grille intake lights, tail lights and brake lights are all fitted and ready to go, controlled directly from the HPI TF-51 transmitter. The CH3 button gives three modes: on, off, or daylight running.

Purpose-built for 2WD RWD drifting

The Stage-D10 is HPI Racing’s all-new, purpose-built 1/10th scale rear-wheel-drive drift platform. Developed from the ground up over three years and tested across multiple surfaces by drivers ranging from RWD newcomers to experienced competitors, it arrives with a factory setup that works straight out of the box — and a depth of adjustment that will keep experienced drifters busy for a long time.

Ready to drift, ready to tune

  • Adjustable camber links and toe block options, with multiple front and rear roll-centre and camber-gain positions
  • Wheelbase adjustable from 246mm to 264mm via wishbone placement
  • Wheel hex spacing increased by 1mm or 2mm using click-in spacers
  • Fully adjustable Ackermann geometry — forward, backward, up and down
  • Four servo mounting positions
  • Shorty battery packs mount in mid or rear positions to shift weight distribution

Over 100 motor positions

The rear gearbox is where the Stage-D10 gets really interesting. More than 100 possible motor positions allow major changes to rear weight distribution, and the transmission can be configured with 3 or 4 gears (parts included) with the option to reverse motor direction. Combined, that is over 200 configurations to experiment with. The drivetrain runs a 2.6 internal FDR and a sealed composite geared rear differential.

Rotating disc brakes with a clever twist

Front and rear hex-adaptor brake discs rotate with the wheels, and the scale brake calipers are adjustable for position — or removable entirely. The disc design also forms part of the wheel hex spacing system, so track-width changes are quick and easy.

Flexible ESC mounting and rear diffuser

In the standard setup the ESC sits low behind the rear shock tower on an adjustable mounting plate, with a wiring guide keeping the loom tidy. Planning to run a rear-motor configuration? The ESC relocates forward onto the rear top plate to free up the space. Underneath, a diffuser element smooths airflow for improved aero efficiency.
