Sevenoaks Model Car Club

Sevenoaks Model Car Club (SMCC) is a friendly, community-focused RC racing club that’s been running since 1990. We welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced racers, with classes for 1/10th Touring Cars, Tamiya Tourers, Off-Road, and Short Course Trucks. Racing takes place indoors on sports hall flooring every other Friday evening, with a fun, relaxed atmosphere and competitive racing grouped by ability. Sevenoaks Model Car Club (SMCC) has been active for over thirty years, having started in 1990. The club continues to attract a steady mix of regular racers and newcomers to the sport. From the beginning, SMCC has aimed to be a welcoming, community-focused racing club that’s open to everyone. We don’t take ourselves too seriously — the main goal is for both children and adults to enjoy time together, have fun, and learn about the hobby. We cater to all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned competitors. While our races are competitive, drivers are grouped by ability, so there’s always a fair chance of taking a win. Classes We Run 1/10th Touring Cars (13.5T limit) Tamiya Tourers (Tamiya Torque Tuned motors) 1/10th Off-Road Short Course Trucks Racing Venue & Format We race indoors on sports hall flooring , providing a surface that’s both challenging and enjoyable to drive on. Race meetings are held fortnightly on Friday evenings. All booking and payment must be completed in advance on our website, with booking closing at 7:30pm the night before each meeting . Timing & Results SMCC uses a MyLaps RC4 decoder running firmware 4.4 , which supports both MRT and RC4 transponders . Race results are available online at RC-Results .
