About this product
Description
Nissan’s S13 Silvia is the car that taught a generation to drift: front engine, rear-wheel drive, light and easy to throw sideways. Kyosho has recreated a tuned street version as a 1:10 electric drift car on the rear-wheel-drive Fazer D2 chassis, and it arrives as a factory-built Readyset. Add a battery, a charger and four AA cells and it is ready to drift.
The Fazer D2 is built for drifting from the ground up. The receiver has a gyro built in that helps with counter-steer and throttle, so a newcomer can hold a slide from the first battery. The chassis is still a proper hobby-grade drift car underneath, with adjustable geometry and a long list of upgrade parts for when you want to tune it.
Body highlights
- Ultra Scale Body Plus: factory painted in purple with aggressive drift-inspired aero parts, and no mounting holes drilled through the body.
- Exclusive headlight covers and grille decals give it a sharp, aggressive front end.
- LED-compatible light buckets front and rear. Add Kyosho’s 97054 LED Light Units (sold separately) for working lights.
- Officially licensed fifteen52 Turbomac two-piece wheels with adjustable 5mm, 7mm and 9mm offsets.
- Stealth body mounts hide the body posts. Conventional pin-type mounts, compatible with earlier Fazer bodies, are also included.
- Dummy brake calipers and discs on the wheel hubs for extra scale detail.
Fazer D2 RWD drift chassis
- Rear-wheel drive with a spool rear axle for smooth, controllable drifts.
- Syncro KRG-331D receiver with built-in gyro, with separate steering-gain and throttle-gain dials.
- KS4072-06W steering servo, chosen for drifting.
- G22 brushed motor, high mounted for gentle roll characteristics, with a gear cover to keep grit out of the drivetrain.
- Motor mount with set holes for correct gear mesh, plus slotted holes for 48P 16–37T pinions.
- Oil-filled shocks pre-tuned with drift pistons, springs and oil. Extra tuning pistons are included.
- Long-span front double wishbones for plenty of steering angle. Caster, Ackermann and roll centre are adjustable.
- Split resin chassis with a variable wheelbase (240–273mm), so most Fazer series bodies fit.
- ESC mounted at the rear on a tray that removes with a single screw.
- Takes most batteries, from shorty LiPo packs to straight packs. LCG packs need a 5–6mm spacer.
