What’s included in an RC car service
Strip-down & full clean
Electronics out – ESC, receiver, servo and motor – then a proper clean of the chassis, suspension and drivetrain to remove grit, mud and old grease.
Shock service
Shocks stripped, cleaned, re-lubricated and rebuilt so your suspension works smoothly and consistently again.
Differential inspection
Every diff checked for leaks, wear and damage, with a clear recommendation if it needs a rebuild.
Breakage & wear check
Arms, hubs, driveshafts, bearings, gears and mounts inspected for cracks, play and wear – all listed in your quote.
Not included in the £29.99 service: diff rebuilds and fluid changes, bearing replacement, replacement or upgrade parts, repair labour beyond the standard service, and postage from you to us.

Parts are charged at our normal shop prices. Return postage is paid at checkout; postage to us is paid by you.
How our RC servicing works
- Book online. Buy the Service & Repair service – the checkout delivery charge is your insured return postage.
- Send us photos. Email clear photos of the whole model, the underside and any damage to [email protected] with your order number. We confirm we can take it on before you post anything.
- Post it to us. Signed-for, tracked and insured, batteries removed.
- Strip, clean, service & inspect. Electronics out, full clean, shock service, and every diff and part checked for breakages.
- Get your quote. A parts list of what we recommend replacing, plus any extra labour, itemised.
- Approve & pay. Nothing extra is fitted or charged without your go-ahead.
- We do the work – on camera. Photos and videos of each stage, so you know it’s been done properly.
- Back to you. Returned on the insured service you paid for – typically 7 days from arrival.
RC diff rebuilds
A worn or leaking differential makes a car push wide, unload under power and chew through gears. Every service includes a full diff inspection; if they need attention, a full rebuild of all the diffs on the car is £30 labour plus parts – stripped, cleaned, damaged gears or seals replaced and refilled with fresh fluid.
RC shock servicing
Dirty, dry shocks make an RC car bounce, bottom out and handle inconsistently. Shock servicing is included in every £29.99 service – stripped, cleaned, re-lubricated and rebuilt. If seals, shafts or shock bodies are damaged, we list the parts in your quote.
RC bearing replacement
Gritty, notchy or seized bearings sap speed and runtime and wear out the parts around them. A full bearing replacement is £30 labour plus bearings, because it means taking the whole car apart – so it pairs well with a diff rebuild while everything is already stripped down.
Race setup & custom builds
With your car stripped down it’s the ideal time to set it up for racing. We can build your diffs with race-spec fluid weights and fit any upgrade or custom parts you choose. You pay for the parts; any labour is shown in your quote before we start.

Our workshop service is £29.99 plus insured return postage. That covers a full strip-down and clean, a shock service, a differential inspection, a breakage check and an itemised quote. Extra work such as a full diff rebuild (£30 labour plus parts) is only charged if you approve it.
Is there an RC car repair shop near me?
We are a mail-in RC workshop covering the whole of the UK. Book online, send us photos, post the car to us and we return it on an insured service – so you get specialist servicing wherever you live.
Do you repair nitro RC cars as well as electric?
Yes. We service electric and nitro RC cars, trucks and buggies from any brand we stock. Other brands are considered on request – send us photos and the make and model first.
Why do you need photos before I post my car?
Photos let us confirm we can take your model on and spot obvious damage before you pay for postage, so nobody wastes time or money on a job we cannot complete.
How long does an RC car service take?
Typically 7 days from the day your model arrives. It can vary with the amount of work needed and while we wait for you to approve your quote.
What happens if I do not want the extra work?
Nothing extra is done without your approval. If you decline the quote we reassemble your model and post it back using the return postage you already paid; the service charge covers the strip-down, clean, shock service and inspection already carried out.
How much is an RC diff rebuild?
A full differential rebuild is £30 labour plus parts and covers all the diffs on the car – stripped, fluid replaced and any damage repaired. You can choose race-spec diff fluid weights at the same time.
Do you replace RC car bearings?
Yes. A full bearing replacement is £30 labour plus parts, as it needs a complete disassembly of the car.
Will I see what work was done?
Yes. We photograph and video the work carried out on your car, so you have evidence that everything has been done properly.
