Shipping & Returns Policy

Introduction

At radio-controlled.co.uk, we are committed to providing a seamless and transparent shopping experience. This page sets out our shipping and returns policies, so you know exactly what to expect when you shop with us.


Shipping Information

Dispatch Times

  • Same-Day Dispatch: Orders placed before 2PM (Mon–Fri) are dispatched the same day.

  • Orders placed after 2PM or on weekends/bank holidays are dispatched the next working day.

Delivery Options

  • 48-Hour Courier Service – Included in our standard postage option (typically 2–3 working days).

  • All shipments are fully insured for your peace of mind.

Tracking Information

  • Tracking details are usually emailed to you when the courier collects your order (around 4PM).

  • If you do not receive tracking information, please email [email protected] and we will provide it.

Lost Items

  • If an item is lost in transit, we will send a replacement once the courier confirms it is lost or unrecoverable (this can take 7–14 days).

Postage Costs

  • Delivery and insurance are included in the postage price, calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.


Returns Policy

Eligibility for Returns

You may return an item if:

  • It is unused and in its original packaging.

  • The battery remains at the same charge level as when it was sent.

  • The return is initiated within 14 days of purchase.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Damage caused by incorrect usage, collisions, or improper handling.

    • However, we can help source spare parts and may offer a repair service.

  • Products used while not functioning correctly, as this can cause further damage or injury.


Battery Safety & Warranty

  • LiPo battery charging carries a small risk of fire. Always charge in a safe environment, away from living areas, and never inside the model.

  • Store LiPo batteries in a fireproof area or LiPo safety bag.

  • Any damage caused by charging fires is not covered under warranty.

  • All batteries are tested before dispatch, with cell voltages recorded.

  • Returned batteries must not have been charged or used — they will be tested on receipt.

  • Warranty is limited and dependent on proper usage (see our Battery Care Advice page).


Reporting Missing Items

  • Missing items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

  • You may be asked to confirm the total weight of your parcel, as all packages are weighed before leaving our warehouse.


Non-Refundable Costs

  • PayPal/Stripe Fees: Non-refundable unless:

    • The item arrives damaged.

    • The item is out of stock or unavailable.

    • The product does not match the description and is returned unused in original packaging.

  • Postage Costs: Non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

  • Change of Mind: Returns for this reason incur a £20 admin fee, and original postage/payment processing fees will be deducted from the refund.


Returns Process

  1. Email [email protected] with:

    • Your order number.

    • Details of the issue.

    • Clear photos (e.g., shell, electronics, tyres, controller).

  2. If approved, return the item to us (postage at your expense).

    • Postage costs will be reimbursed if the return is approved after inspection.

  3. We will inspect the item and notify you of the refund or replacement decision.


Restocking Fees

  • Returns due to change of mind or any product that has been used may incur a £20 restocking fee or be rejected.

What’s your policy on lost orders bought using a PayPal payment other Direct Debt Card.

    Orders lost by us our the courier are replaced typically once the courier accepts that they have lost it.

    It can be, but it depends on what you want and where you want to collect from. Some of our stock is in our London Studio and most of it is in hertfordshire in the warehouse. We can transfer things over, but its easier to call and plan.
