Feel the unique power and control of 4WD
Next-gen basic buggy built on a pure racing base
In the long and distinguished history of 1/10 EP (electric) R/C racing buggies, there are two types based on different drive systems. Rear 2WD models are typically easier to assemble and maintain and exhibit nimble driving characteristics; and then there are the equally popular 4WD models, which use drive force to all four wheels for superior traction on low-grip roads compared to 2WD. For drivers considering a step up from entry-level models, we are proud to introduce the Lazer SB Dirt Cross 4WD, which is a cost-optimized version of the competition-level ZX-5 that has continued to evolve performance and control as the cutting-edge of Kyosho’s worldwide 4WD EP buggy racing campaigns. While the suspension and driven system are retained from the proven Lazer ZX-5, the Dirt Cross does much more than reduce costs; it is designed to appeal to a new generation of R/C racers. While retaining its basic shape, the main chassis has been updated and optimized for the latest battery and motor systems. However, the body has been completely redesigned with a rear positioned cabin (instead of the usual forward-cabin of racing models), driver figure, and newly developed spoke wheels for a classic retro buggy style. As the Dirt Cross is based on a purebred race model, performance is guaranteed. Combining the most comprehensive fit out at a great value price, all the fun and performance off-road R/C has to deliver is perfectly optimized into this mid-range 4WD buggy.

Frequently Asked Questions
This kit is designed for drivers graduating beyond entry-level models rather than absolute beginners. It's a mid-range buggy with genuine racing pedigree, so basic RC experience and assembly skills are recommended. If you're completely new to RC, you may find an entry-level model more suitable to start with.
The kit includes the buggy chassis, body with classic retro styling, rear wing, driver figure, and spoke wheels. You'll need to assemble the kit and supply your own battery, charger, and radio control system, as these are not included.
This is a 1/10 scale model, making it a standard size for RC buggy racing and hobby use. Exact dimensions aren't specified in the product information, but 1/10 scale buggies are typically around 40–50 cm in length.
Yes—4WD delivers superior traction to all four wheels, which is especially useful on low-grip terrain and varied surfaces. The Lazer SB uses a proven shaft-driven 4WD system inherited from Kyosho's competition ZX-5, so performance and reliability are built in.
Yes, the front and rear gearboxes are equipped with gear differentials that can be replaced with optional alternatives. As a kit based on a competition-level platform, aftermarket upgrades and spare parts should be readily available.
