HPI WR8: the rally car built on a monster truck chassis
The WR8 is HPI Racing’s ready-to-run rally platform. Underneath the licensed replica bodies sits the drivetrain of the HPI Bullet monster truck: a fully ball-raced 4WD shaft drive, metal gear differentials and long-travel suspension with rally geometry, so the WR8 takes gravel, grass and kerbs in a way a touring car never could.
Choose your power. The WR8 Flux runs a 3700KV brushless motor and waterproof 3S-capable speed controller; the WR8 3.0 runs HPI’s Nitro Star G3.0 engine with pull-start and a 2.4GHz radio. Both are available with the 2001 WRC Subaru Impreza in the blue and yellow works livery, and the WR8 3.0 with the 1996 Ford Escort RS Cosworth in nitro and brushless versions.
Every WR8 is a complete car with radio and receiver. Electric versions need a 2S or 3S LiPo and charger; nitro versions need fuel, glow starter and starter box or pull-start warm-up kit. Spares are in HPI Racing spare parts, and the wider range is on the HPI Racing brand page.
