Morecambe Model Car Club is one of the oldest radio controlled racing car clubs in the country. We have the facilities to cater for most types of electric racing. We are always looking for new members and new ideas. We are a relaxed bunch and welcome new members as well as happily offering advice and help when and where we can. We race indoors on primafelt carpet and are primarily a GT12 Club. We use a BBKrc lapcounting system for booking in and race control with handout transponders available or use a PT. Racing takes place on a Monday evening between 7 and 10! Racing costs £4.50, refreshments are available and a fish & chip shop is a 30 second walk for those rushing after work. Plenty of pit space and tables, mains power is readily available. We race using GT12’s with 1S batteries and 13.5T Motors – BRCA approved additives only. Depending on numbers of entrants we can cater for other classes. Racing is very competitive and of a very high standard in most heats. We are keen to get beginners involved and will help where we can! Please ask advice before buying cars, we will help you make the right choices.
