Hardwick RC Track
At Hardwick RC Track, we’re proud to offer one of the North East’s best radio control car facilities, located just off the A1 near Sedgefield. Our site is designed to cater for all types of RC enthusiasts, from beginners to experienced racers, with multiple tracks and great facilities for every style of driving.
We currently have three main tracks in operation. Our astro track is perfect for 1/8 and 1/5 scale vehicles and provides consistent grip throughout the colder months. The dirt track comes to life during the warmer seasons, offering a true off-road experience for racers who enjoy loose surfaces and changing conditions. Our crawler track features varied obstacles and sections, ideal for rock crawlers and scale drivers looking for a technical challenge. We also have a dedicated bash track in development to give all drivers even more space to enjoy their RC cars.
To make your visit as comfortable as possible, we’ve equipped the site with electricity for charging, toilets, water access, snacks and refreshments, an air compressor, and plenty of parking. We’re also in the process of opening our own on-site model shop, which will stock essential parts such as tyres, fuel, and glow plugs, with online ordering coming soon.
You don’t have to be a member to enjoy the track — everyone is welcome. Event entry is typically £14, or £10 for subscribers, with practice sessions and crawler use available at reduced rates.
We’re located at Low Hardwick Farm, Sedgefield, TS21 2EH, about 20 minutes from Durham and 40 minutes from Newcastle. Whether you’re here for a race, a casual practice session, or just a day out with friends, we aim to provide a friendly and inclusive environment for all RC drivers.
